Time Management Tips For Sales Personals

Posted by SRK 6 February, 2010 (0) Comment

Being a sale person is really a tough job that not only demand lot of efforts but time also. If you really want to get success and earn a handsome amount then you must manage your time wisely: here are few tips for you:

salesman

1: Set your goals:

First of all set your goals and keep an eye on your motives. Achieving your goals is not the matter of two or three days so for achieving your goals you must have to work by day and night. Make some effective work plans and then work accordingly try to avoid all the unnecessary things that can keep you away from achieving your goals.

2: Give priority to “Important works”:

If you have some really important works to do daily that can play an important and effective role in achieving your main goals then do these works first. Cut out all the unnecessary works because leaving important works undone will lead you to depression and it will also make a bad impression of you.

3: Just Concentrate:

Try to concentrate on your work. Just concentrate by keeping your nerves in your control do one thing at a time it will reduce the confusion and produce better results rather than doing a lot of work at same time and concentrating on none.

4: Your internal clock:

Everyone has internal clock that differs from others such as some people get charged and very active in mornings while others like working at night times. So try to do your most important work according to your internal clock when your best time allows you to do things energetically.

5: Know your worth:

Being a salesman you must your value and don’t work for low wages. Because you are the one who is benefiting the company. So don’t waste your time by doing work for many hours with less wages and understand your worth and join business that can pay you for real energy and that can justify your time.

6: Be Objective instead of Busy:

Try to be objective and set your goals rather than keep yourself busy for nothing at all. It seems that many salespersons keep their selves busy by doing lot of paper work and preparing presentations that not worth at all but just a waste of precious time. You must make some strategies that will work for you to make money throughout the and just avoid the unnecessary work that keeps you busy for nothing.

7: Manage your work:

You are working on a place where few things come again and again in front of you and they are the same their meanings are same their answers are same so why not manage these things by preparing a proper file for them? For instance if many of your company’s customers ask you the same question that have the same answer then why do you waste time to answer them separately ad each time in detail? Just create a single e-mail that describes the one question that is being asked to you again and again and then send it to as many people ask the same question to you.

8: Save your time:

Try to be active in impersonal communications with your colleagues but remember don’t waste your time by talking too much unnecessarily and giving presentations to your coworkers. Active communication that is healthy as well is very important but be on time for everything and don’t waste your time by having lunch and dinners with your co workers.

9: Manage your desk:

Just clean up your desk and inbox with old stuff so that new and fresh stuff find the place in your inbox and on your desk. Daily check your mail, e-mail and etc to avoid overloading things.

10: Time Partition:

The work you are doing demands you to check your mail, e-mails phone calls and other communications daily so what you have to do is just fix a proper time for all these things. Prepare a schedule of your all work and make partitions of time for different that you have to perform daily.

Tips From Successful Job Seekers

Posted by Q.AB. 25 November, 2009 (0) Comment

Most of job seekers are looking for the ways, that how to get their resume noticed by the employers, and also for answers for the difficult interview questions. So much is written about that also like “ 10 most difficult interview questions”, “ writing a best resume” etc. But as I had seen and experienced tips from successful job seekers are best.

708_49e42a27bbd50

Those tips you can get anywhere near by like from your neighbor, best friend, cousin or any relative who got the job. They will tell you and advice you in best manner that how they got the jobs. Because they are the invaluable resource for you when you are looking for a job. You can learn a lot from their success, mistakes, experience, tips and tricks that will help you a lot on long way job search.

I had talked to few successful job seekers and here I am writing the tips that I gained from them. I divided those tips in 4 categories, which are these:

Present yourself as you are

First person to whom I met for his job seeking experience is my friend Samuel. He got the job as financial analyst within two weeks.

He says that he made his mind to have any type of job and posted his resumes everywhere and visited every agency whether there was any job opening or not. He applied in so many companies so that the possibility of being hired gets more.

According to him one should have to be open minded about the kinds of positions that they want. Aside from going to a one specific job one should try to go to a company, an employment agency and tell them what you knows and what you are having in your qualifications because what you having can be applied to a number of different positions which only employment agency or company knows. And when time is right you will get the job. But for that you should have to be open-minded.

Never Let Opportunity Get Away

Anna was unemployed for more than 3 years but she is having a job as a management consultant in a big firm.

She says that because of long time unemployment I made up my mind to get any low level job. So through a friend she got a contract position job. She told me that job was according to her qualification and also not ideal job for her. But she kept on sticking with that job. Anna said that when you are unemployed for a long time you have to adjust with such type of jobs and in this job I worked hard.

Her hard work and better attitude in this contract job paid her with a permanent job according to her qualification and also a better salary.

For Some Cover Letter is Luckier Than Resume

After graduating from a law school Henry wanted to get a job quickly. He drafted a cover letter that emphasized his unique experience and made stand out as a candidate.

Henry says that he was having a standard entry-level lawyer resume which he have to use but he used cover letter for giving more details about him.

In that letter he mentioned that he had worked on a political campaign in San Diego and his current boss is running for office in Anchorage. According to him that was a lucky move, which paid to him.

Currently Henry is working as attorney in Florida and he credits his cover letter for finding a job.

Professional Network Can Be a Strong Back

Rachel was not even seeking job actively when she was appointed as creative director of an advertising agency. She credits her new job to her solid professional network.

She left her more recent job but she stayed in touch with her boss. Rachel says that she will visit whenever she came back to West Coast and will dinner with her when her boss came to New York.

She also built a strong network in and around the New York City. She told that her previous colleague from a local agency called me and told me about the opening and I sent my resume in. She talked me up to her bosses and they reviewed my resume and I was given that job because they knew my previous employer. She says that two strong references my former colleague and former boss worked for me while so many people were interviewed for that job.

Bottom Line

Above mentioned small tips were of those people who got the jobs. But whatever worked for them is not necessary will work for you also. You should have to look your nearby to consult with such people who got the good jobs and try to gain tips and experience from them as well to know that what things worked for them to get those jobs.

Humor Can Become Offense on Workplace

Posted by Q.AB. 16 November, 2009 (0) Comment

A smile on face is a best exercise for face muscles, a laugh is best for heart and hypertension it’s said by doctors. But smile and laugh can be made while working when there will be any joke or humor on working place. In my opinion a good joke that makes you laugh makes you relax in workplace.

But the jokes on workplace can effect backward also I mean if a joke is misunderstood then there is possibility other will take it as insult so results wont be good for that. That’s why its necessary for us working on place where diverse workforce is working to be careful while making any joke or humor.

diversity

Place where diverse workforce is working one should have to see that the thing which will be a joke for him for other community or country person it can be an insulting thing.
