If you are looking for a job, or going to job interview, then chances are that most probably you have been fired from your previous job, or left it due to some vital unsettling problem.

In this case, the first thing you should do is to let go of your guilt or bitterness, knowing that you have not wasted your time. You have definitely learned something from your previous experience, and you are more experienced now than when you got your last job.

Try to use your energy through searching and applying for as many jobs as you can, that look appropriate to you. Don’t just sit back after one interview or opportunity, keep on searching until you sign that contract. This will also help to keep you from thinking about the last interview you had and driving yourself crazy from wondering whether or not you got the job.
