7 Jobs That Require No College Degree

Posted by Nazia 19 February, 2010 (1) Comment

Well its quite an ideal situation for those who don’t want to walk the ‘painful’ and ‘unbarring’ 4 year path for a formal bachelor’s degree and as if it wasn’t enough it had to be followed by 2-3 years work experience and last but not least a master’s degree. Because markets are becoming more competitive year by year than in the past. A formal bachelor’s degree is off no importance until it isn’t followed by a master’s degree. With vast volatility and changing environments one has become obliged to be an all rounder. Apart from knowing your side of the story you are regarded to know other fields of expertise too, one that is an all rounder will be preferred over the rest. However, there is still a niche market which has remained niche over the years; these markets don’t require any formal education, no degrees, maybe a certification. C’mon now you can’t have it all easy for yourself. Jobs Search

They know that the only way to climb the ladder is to stick to one company which will in the long run reward their efforts.

How to Give and Take Criticism

Posted by Sana 2 January, 2010 (0) Comment

Both giving and taking criticism are very difficult things. We should look at both sides of this active exchange because if we are committed to our careers and those of our staff, we will find ourselves on each side of the conversation. The guidelines listed below will help you to converse more efficiently.

 unhealthy criticism

Select a Good Time

A wise decision will be to carry out a feedback session in private. By no means, conduct it when the person is too stressed to really hear what you are saying. If it is urgent, ask the person to ‘take five’ and come back to meet with you.

Remain Calm

It is very important to avoid meeting the person who has committed an error, while you are angry about it. Discuss such matters with a calm mind. During the meeting, no matter what is thrown at you, remain calm. If it gets out of control, stop the meeting and set a time to continue.
