Communication is one of the most important aspects of a job or a business. In order to conduct proper business, maintain a positive atmosphere and increase productivity, it is essential that effective communication takes place between co workers, boss and any external stakeholders.

There are several ways to enhance communication between co workers. Talking in person is always better than giving a written message. Whenever possible, speak in person instead of emails or letters. It is possible that emails may be misread and understood in a manner which the author did not intend. A spoken conversation always improves clarity and provides immediate feedback as well.
Also, remember to meet up regularly both in the office and outside. It is important to have regular meetings in order to provide opportunities to people to voice their opinions. If you meet up in more social and informal environments like a restaurant, it can help you to remove any barriers and increase people’s comfort level in giving voice to their thoughts and opinions.
Another good idea would be to keep a suggestion box in the office. Some people have a shy nature and may feel more comfortable voicing their ideas in an anonymous, non-confrontational way.
Try to keep a friendly atmosphere in the office by encouraging everyone to collaborate and work together instead of working on individual goals. It is only through team effort that organizational goals can be achieved in an efficient way.
