All of us wish to be liked by our boss. Whether it is just for a raise in salary, a promotion, or simply your self satisfaction, but hearing your boss say “good job” would definitely make your day!
One of the simplest ways to impress your boss is by making his or her life easier. Just put in a little effort to put her at ease, and you’ll see the difference.
However, every supervisor is different and will not be impressed by the same actions. But here are three things that can work for you no matter what type of boss you have.
Pay Attention to Details
Every boss will be more happy and impressed by an employee who pays greater attention to key details as compared to someone who merely checks off a box and says “task complete.”
Even if you manage to work fast and get the work done in time, if you don’t pay mush attention to details or perfection, no boss would be happy to have you in his/her team.
Take Initiative
Try to think ahead and anticipate what must be done, offering your services for it, or doing it when you are quite sure of it, without waiting to be told. Most bosses are not impressed by employees who must be told what to do and when to do it every single time. But don’t get carried away too far. Many bosses aren’t also impressed by someone who thinks ahead too far and then creates problems by taking too much initiative. Keep the three C’s in mind, i.e. Communication, coordination, and cooperation are essential.
Work Together As A Team
No boss likes complaining team members, who refuse to work together and this end up delaying work and not meeting deadlines. Try to cooperate with each other as a team, helping each other out whenever needed. A favor you do once will definitely be returned when you will be in trouble.
How you assist others will vary depending on the type of job and the type of help you’re offering, but remember that the whole team benefits when you help each other out. And by doing this, you achieve the bigger goal. The boss will definitely get impressed seeing a team spirit in you.

Cooperation is a must have, like you said, because a boss will just go crazy if his team is just not functioning the way he/she wants it to function. Try to make your boss happy by cooperating and if other do not wish to cooperate with you, then that is when you inform your boss and he/she will take matters into their own hands.
