Mistakes That Could Destroy Your Interview
If you are a capable person and lucky enough. You will get an interview call,An interview will provide you with an opportunity to prove yourself as right candidate for the particular job. But still, even after having a strong resume, going for an interview is mast difficult part of your job application process.
There are chance just because of some stupid mistakes, you will ruin your interview and thus the chance of getting a job. If you do make a mistake, then make sure that you , take a look at all those mistakes before going to next interview which you should not repeat next time.
Arrive on time
A mistake which diminishes your chances of getting a job is to arrive let for the interview place late. The interviews are always organized in specific time slots which can not be changed, so you must keep in mind the importance of hiring manager’s valuable time. But on the other hand if you reach at interview place too early, it may also leave a negative impact. this is because if you reach around 30 minutes before time, it will create an irritating situation for the hiring manager.
Do not trash previous employer
During an interview, do not talk against your previous employer as it will leave a negative impression on the hiring manager. If you really have decided to leave the previous employer, due to any reason, do not mention it in front of the hiring executive. You can express it in some other ways like, you are no longer in line with the company’s mission or direction
Do not get too familiar
it quite for the candidates to try to become friendly with the hiring executives during an interview. As interview is always a formal meeting between hiring staff and the candidate, it is always suggested that not to become friendly or over familiar with the staff.It can influence the proven.
Proper attire for an interview
Neat and proper get up always make your personality admirable. For an interview, it is always a good idea to wear appropriate dress. If you wear T-shirt and jeans for an interview, it will give you a very casual look. You need a professional look, so wear cloths accordingly. Otherwise, the employers may frown upon your attire.
Do not discuss pay and benefits
It depends upon the employer either he/she wants to put a point regarding pay scale in front of you or not. But, during interview, if employer does not throw any such question at you, try to avoid asking about the pay or benefits. However, if the employer ask about your opinion, you may negotiate with about the pay scale depending upon your qualifications and experiences.
If you work hard to make an attractive resume, but in the end, when there is time to get back the reward, you ruin the chance by doing such illogical mistakes, then there is no point to do such effort at all.
