Mostly employees want to impress their boss. Keeping the boss happy can take your name on top of the promotion list. Here are some useful tips to please your boss.

1 – Arrive In Time

Always get up early in the morning so that you can easily go for job early too. When you will leave home early, you will arrive at job on time. Lets say your job start at 9am even arriving 8:50am will create a good impression. Your boss will notice your interest and will realize that you are enthusiastic regarding your job. That is simple thing which every boss knows that an enthusiastic employee is much more productive than an unenthusiastic employee.

If your this doesn’t work, then the only one reason might be that your boss is consistently late leading to your efforts being unnoticed.

2 – Be Regular

Never take too many sick leaves. As nowadays a lot of people files sick leaves when there is pressure of work be sure that you wont be one of them. Bosses are not stupid and they know the people who fake sick just to avoid the work.

Only take a sick leave on that time when you really are sick.


3 – Never Take Lengthy breaks and Be Friendly to your Colleagues

Another important point is to remember to stick to your set tea and lunch break timings. If the lunch break is for 1 hr, then be sure you take just one hour and are back at your workplace within hour. Coming back five minutes early will impress your boss while getting back late will only annoy him and your fellow colleagues.

Never upset your fellow colleagues because that will make them complain to your boss and that will not be a good thing for you.

4 – Volunteer to Stay Late

Sometimes things go wrong and your boss will be looking around for people to do some overtime to sort out the problems. In such situation always volunteer yourself to stay late and try your best to sort out the problems. Though sometimes you wont be able to do some overtime work but most of time it may suit you.

This will count a lot for you if you will be saving your boss from having to stay late all the time he will forever thankful to you.

5 – Be Flexible and Available

Always be flexible and available to cancel leave at short notice. Sometimes on workplace any body falls sick and work are short staffed then if you are give short notice then right away cancel your leave and be available on your job. This will make good impression on your boss and you might be appreciated for that from your boss.

6 – Gain Extra Qualification

When you will do extra study and further your knowledge and qualifications then that is a clear sign that you are interested in your job. Trying to be better employee and improving your capabilities always makes a boss happy. They always love ambitious employee who do best to learn more and more. Because having more knowledge tends an employee to work more effectively and efficiently.

No one can deny about the advantages of pleasing a boss, because pleasing a boss raises your chances of promotion or rise in salary. Aside from these benefits he will respect you and treat you well.

Most of all its easy to work with a happy boss rather than unhappy one so make sure to keep your boss happy.
