Best Answers to Job Interview Question: Why are You Leaving Your Job?

One of the most typical question asked in an interview is “Why You are leaving your job?” or “ Why did you leave your job?” If you left the job yourself then here are some suggestions that how to give the best answer.

These are the sample answers for the interview question “Why did you leave your job?”

  • I was bored up with the work and was looking for more challenges. As I likes to work in challenging place that’s why I haven’t wanted that my unhappiness to have an impact on the job I was doing for my employer.
  • There was not enough room for growth with my previous employer that’s why I was looking to move forward for a new challenge.
  • I was looking for a bigger challenge and I can not look for any other job in part time and also it haven’t seem me to use former employer’s working time.

  • Our department was eliminated due to corporate restructuring that was I was laid off from my position.
  • I left my previous job due to of some family matters and now I am looking forward to move on.
  • I find out in my previous job that this is not the direction to where I want to take my career and my current employer is not having the opportunities in the direction I’d like to head.
  • After working for years in previous for years I am looking for a company where I can contribute and grow in a team oriented environment.
  • I want to have a new challenge where I can put my experience and technical skills in new direction with more capacity than I have in past.
  • I graduated recently and I want utilize my self in any challenging job.
  • I want a job with more responsibility and I am ready for new challenge.
  • I left my previous job to give more time to my family but now circumstances are changed and I am ready for a full time job again.
  • I was looking for a stable company that is having room for growth and opportunities for advancement.
  • I have to spend a lot time to travel for my job that’s why I prefer a job closer to my home.
  • I was not looking for any new job but to be honest when I seen this job posting I was influenced by the position and it seemed me an exciting opportunity and an ideal match with my qualifications.
  • This job opportunity is perfect match to my skills and experience and I w as able to utilize them in my previous job.
  • My company was down sizing that’s why I was eliminated.
