What To Do When You Have Outgrown Your Job

Are you one of those persons who put extra effort in their work to make it perfect and accept new responsibilities and challenges with confidence and passion? Such people can be ideal employees for any company or organizations. Even some companies appoint people on the basis of such expertise and try to accommodate them by offering some extra benefits.

Extraordinary efforts deserve extraordinary reward to add extra fuel to it. If your boss is conscious enough to understand this reality then better otherwise you have to do something to make him feel about your efforts and expertise.

In such case you have to do some homework first. Make a list of your actual responsibilities and extra responsibilities you are doing along with actual one. Compare it with duties assigned to other staff members of your rank. Look where are you doing better than others. Can your efforts secure a new job title for you? If it is so, it’s good news for you because new job with higher rank automatically raise salary along with other related benefits.

Check the grading system for salaries of your company and estimate the possible salary raise. Be happy because you have done 90% of your homework. Now the last and most important step is settle a meeting with your boss and tell him about all these things in a precise way that how are you doing extra jobs to benefit the company. Convince him for your new job title with a raise in salary and other benefits.

It is possible that he will consider your request seriously and you become get the status you deserve. Remember it’s up to you not upon our boss to pave the way for your success and promotion.
